Paolo Soriani lives and works in Rome, where he graduated in Modern Art History in 1987. He has cooperated with numerous Italian publishing houses for architecture catalogues and publications. In recent years, he has held seminars and courses on photography at the Art History Institute of the University "La Sapienza" and at the Roman Faculty of the Iowa State University. He's currently teaching Photography at the John Cabot University.
He has worked at the covers and coordinated pictures of groups and artists like Klezroym, Agricantus, Novalia, Nour Eddine for the Compagnia Nuove Indye music label, and of Italian and international jazz stars like Stefano Bollani, Ralph Towner, Flavio Boltro, Uri Caine, Paolo Fresu, Jan Garbarek, Maurizio Giammarco, Enrico Rava, High Five Quintet, Enrico Pieranunzi, Doctor 3, Maria Pia de Vito. In 2002 he took part in the Visual Arts Project of the International Festival "Time in Jazz", with the art direction of Paolo Fresu, in Berchidda.
